Welcome to the Sleeping Giant Flying clubThe Sleeping Giant Flying Club (SGFC) is a non-profit flying club based at the Helena Regional Airport in beautiful Helena, Montana. The club's emphasis is on safety and continuing education for the weekend pilot. Membership is open to anyone who calls west central Montana home. In conjunction with Dramstad Flying Service, our club has the best-maintained aircraft in the area. Already a Pilot? Call or email us today to see if we are currently accepting applications for membership. Space is limited. If space is available then you too can join the SGFC & get checked out in one of our club planes by a CFI today. Depending on the ratings and endorsements you already have, you'll have access to up to five club planes. Some planes may require additional instruction to comply with the club's insurance requirements. See the club's PIC Insurance Requirements for further details. Not a Pilot yet? No problem! If you've ever been curious about what it's like to pilot an aircraft, the first step is to take an introductory flight. Fly with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) in a single engine Cessna aircraft, try a few basic maneuvers, and see the Capital city from more than 3,000 feet above the ground.
