Welcome to the Sleeping Giant Flying clubThe Sleeping Giant Flying Club (SGFC) is a non-profit flying club based at the Helena Regional Airport in beautiful Helena, Montana. The club's emphasis is on safety and continuing education. Membership is open to the public. In conjunction with Vetter Aviation, the club provides the best-maintained rental aircraft and highest quality flight training available in the area. Whether your goal is to become a Private Pilot (PP) or work your way all the way to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), we can take you where you want to be.
Learn to fly: If you've ever been curious about what it's like to pilot an aircraft, the first step is to take an introductory flight. For only $99, you'll fly with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) in one of our Cessna aircraft, try a few basic maneuvers, and see the Capital city from more than 3,000 feet above the ground. More....> Already a Pilot? Join the SGFC & get checked out in one of our planes by a club CFI today. Depending on the ratings and endorsements you have, you'll have access to up to five club planes.
